Milbank/Connor Creek Greenway

Milbank/Conner Creek Greenway is Phase I of a nine-mile pedestrian trail that is planned to connect eastside neighborhoods to the Detroit River.

Village of Norris Restoration

In 1873, the Village of Norris was founded at what is now the corner of Mt. Elliott and Iowa. Nortown CDC is working to restore the neighborhood's historic nature by restoring the Norris House, developing infill housing, and improving the industrial corridor.

Refresh Detroit!

In 2006, Nortown CDC received designation as a Refresh Detroit! District through the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization. The program provides a pool of $35,000 for facade improvement grants to businesses in the North Town District bounded by 8 Mile Road, I-94, Hoover, and Mound.

Van Dyke - Eight Mile Gateway Collaborative

Nortown is a partner and major stakeholder in the Van Dyke - Eight Mile (V8) Gateway Collaborative to improving the quality of life between Detroit and the inner ring suburbs of Warren and Centerline.
